As part of the Great British Refurb campaign, members of the public are being challenged to create an exciting and innovative 60 second film, which will inspire people to make their homes energy efficient. The lucky winner will receive £1,500 in cash, some fantastic camera equipment and, most excitingly, a commission by WWF-UK to make their next campaign film!

The competition was launched last week by Grand Design’s Kevin McCloud, who will be on the judging panel along with Wildscreen’s very own Chief Executive, Richard Edwards. With rocketing energy bills and fossil fuels rapidly becoming scarce, we can all do our bit to make our homes more energy efficient. Basic improvements such as loft insulation can not only save you money, but can also help to reduce carbon emissions and help save the planet! The Government hopes to make all homes in the UK energy efficient by 2030, and aspiring filmmakers are tasked with making energy efficiency exciting enough to get the general population inspired!
